To succeed online you need to have great content. Content is king they say.

But I my self is content.

Everything I do or say or wear or eat or shit is content.

Because I am content. I am not complacent. Google the difference.

I fight with Ego. Not the Nature. I am content with Nature.

AI overview is changing the game forever.

And I don’t see GEO as solution. I won’t click a reference unless AI is not able to explain properly which is statistically rare.

So overall it’s useless to even condemn it. People are liking AI overview.

But it’s not good, not atleast environmentally.

So whats next?

I would say game over for informational niche sites.

Publishing large amount of content used to work because Google could judge user interaction as chances of visit increases with content volume. Thats an unfair advantage over small sites that may have better content but less probability of visit so I don’t see anything unfair.

Neither do I see anything fair as without content creation there would be no AI overview.

Backlinks don’t work either for small websites because it triggers spam filters as new small sites is unlikely to get links quickly.

So in a nutshell stop disguising yourself that you do anything other than manipulation to fight the stupid Algorithm by cloaking it in big words like

Enterprise SEO

Local SEO

Technical SEO

Programmatic SEO

EEAT SEO

HARO SEO

And so on..

You don’t, no matter how big your agency is.

So what is the solution?

I do not know. I am just doing what I can to say that Google was the worst thing that happened to Internet.

Why? Because first draft of anything is shit and that draft fundamentally hasn’t changed much.

If you read the paper Google submitted that court ordered to disclose its data in recent monopoly case(Google it or search it on X), it says dofollow link is the basic measure of popularity then other factors like site interaction and all.

This popularity and spam score affect other factors like crawling and indexing of web.

But if the initial path taken is flawed how will having a driving licence, insurance, proper upper dipper going to help. It’s like running away from murder but ensuring to follow all traffic rules. Stop this madness Google.

Or not..because all bubble explode.

When you are ignoring your own environmental policy for profit I don’t know how long you will be able to sustain it.

A dofollow link from blah blah times is fortune while a nofollow editorial Wikipedia link will do jack shit for your site.

Content marketing should have been always about content quality not the volume or getting into top ten by whatever spam possible. So ya Google killing traditional content marketing when SMB had a chance is sad. But nothing different was expected.

That’s real “content” marketing. Isn’t it?!

So don’t raise your voice. Improve your argument….or your sniping skills.
