Regarding Regularisation and leave for higher studies

Respected sir,

Most humbly I want you to state that I want to change the nature of my work in BARC toward research. I am not primarily seeking promotion. I want to take officially sanctioned EOL, complete an M.Sc. and possibly PhD also in Physics, with clear plan to return to BARC and try to move from an instrumentation-oriented role toward a more research-oriented profile. I feel I can be much more useful to BARC and public interest in that role. I prioritize my option of Research as following:-

a. Nuclear physics
b. Particle/high-energy physics
c. Condensed-matter/materials physics
d. Quantum physics/quantum technology.

Also

1.) I will complete one year’s continuous service on 17 September 2026. The CCS Leave Rules define “one year’s continuous service” as including:
service on duty as well as on leave, including extraordinary leave.

2.) I satisfy the medical condition of mental illness specified in Rule 31(1-A). I have the required medical documentation.

3.) I have a reasonable prospect of returning to duty, and my post is continuing and I have about 20 years of service left.

The main reason for leaving a PSU job after eight years was that there were many more who could very well do the work I was doing there and it wasn’t the work of my full potential.

I didn’t wanted to repeat the same pattern here in BARC. That’s why I was determined to make that clear from the very first day of my joining.

I am not interested in promotion as much as in a job of my potential and liking. Neither is the place of posting a barrier for me. My hobby as described in mail dated 21 Aug 2026 allows me to assimilate anywhere and I intend in continuing it while completing my studies more intensely so that I become relatively free to contribute to BARC.

I remained in communication with the Centre throughout the period, the Centre was aware of my medical circumstances, and I repeatedly sought guidance/regularisation. Therefore, I request that the entire period be considered sympathetically and regularised under the applicable provisions rather than being treated as deliberate abandonment of service.

I further request to please acknowledge my mail and give me clear instruction to proceed if my request is permissible.

Otherwise kindly terminate my service and mail my belonging which includes my marksheet and other certificates to my home address. It is currently difficult for me to afford to come if there is no guarantee of my requests though I will try my best.

Your’s Sincerely
